Prostate Cancer tumor cell growth goes down when the amount of Omega-3 Fatty Acids taken goes up.

That’s the key finding of a study conducted by UCLA researchers. Dr. William Aronson, a professor in the department of urology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the university’s Jonsson Cancer Center.

His team worked with two groups of mice to study the impact of Omega-3s on Prostate Cancer.

One group was fed a diet of 20% fat with a one to ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 fatty acids. The other group had fats that were mostly Omega-6.

The Omega-3 group showed tumor cell growth rates go down by 22%. PSA levels were 77% lower.
